Bring it from your AI
Your AI already knows what you're curious about. Three quick steps and we'll have your profile.
1. Copy our prompt
2. Paste it into your AI
ChatGPT and Claude open with the prompt typed in. For Gemini, just paste it; we copied it for you.
If your AI asks you a few questions first, answer them and it'll write the profile after.

I'm ordering a nonfiction book written just for me, and the author needs to know me as a reader. Using what you remember about me from our past conversations, write my reader profile. If you remember little about me, don't guess. First ask me up to 6 short questions in one message, then write the profile from my answers. If you don't know my age range or my visual taste, include a question about each. Only include an interest if it came up in at least two separate conversations, or if I said outright that it interests me. Leave out anything I asked about only once, and anything I asked about for work or chores. After each interest, note roughly how often it came up (for example "several conversations over months"). Use these headings and plain bullet points, about 300 to 500 words in total: 1. Interests: subjects I return to for my own pleasure, with how often each came up. 2. My questions: questions I actually asked, quoted as closely as you can. Don't write questions on my behalf; if you'd like to suggest one, put it on its own line starting "Suggested (not asked):". 3. Where I am in life: my age range (for example "early 20s" or "around 70"), and what's changing for me right now or what I'm preparing for, only as far as I've shared it. 4. What I already know: my background, where I'm an expert (so the book skips basics I know), and where I'm a beginner. 5. How I like to learn: true stories, analogies, numbers or step by step; how deep I go; the tone I enjoy. 6. What bores or annoys me: for example jargon, lists of tips, preaching, or too much math. 7. My world: my work, hobbies, and the country and culture I know well, for analogies. 8. Taste: books, shows, podcasts and creators I loved or didn't, with the reason. 9. Already familiar: famous stories or books on my interests that I've already read or heard. 10. Visual taste: the look I'm drawn to in book covers, posters, art, design or fashion (for example minimal, bold color, vintage, illustrated, photographic, hand-drawn), colors and fonts I like, with examples I mentioned, and looks I dislike. This is for designing the book's cover. Mark anything you're inferring rather than remembering with "(guess)". Specific details help more than compliments. Leave out health information, finances, passwords, exact addresses, and other people's names.
