Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to make and read a book with Readesire, including people with disabilities. This page says what we've done, what we know falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our standard

We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which Israeli Standard 5568 is based on.

What we've done

The pages are built with real headings, labels and text alternatives so screen readers can follow them, and can be used with a keyboard. Text can be enlarged in your browser, there are light and dark themes, and Hebrew pages read right to left.

Your book can be read on the site, downloaded as an EPUB file for e-readers, which let you choose the font, size and read-aloud, or bought as an audiobook.

What may still fall short

The site hasn't yet had an independent accessibility audit, so some parts may not fully meet the standard. We fix what we find, and what you tell us, as quickly as we can.

Tell us about a problem

If something on the site is hard for you to use, write to our accessibility contact, Shir Tsuk, at [email protected]. Tell us which page and what happened, and we'll reply within two business days and help you finish what you came to do.
